Atrocity Exhibit

I don't even know what that means.

Whatever.

I used to think I had funny stuff to say. Insightful stuff. Now I'm just gaseous. At least I hope it's just gas. Too many carrots or something. TMI. I know.

I don't have anything to say about biking right now. The rides have gone good. Or is it well? I don't know. Don't really care much either.

Been riding a lot. Burning through parts, as usual. Getting in some great miles with my kids, great miles with myself. Great miles all around.

I like riding.

I like riding on the road. I like riding on the dirt. I like riding on the rocky river bottoms and in the snow. I like riding single, double, and triple track. I love riding it all. I even like riding the bus for the most part.

What I don't like, but what I can handle, is getting my lazy bones out of bed at four in the morning.

Taking a vacation wherein my sleep schedule did an almost 180 had made it quite difficult to get back in the groove of things. I've never been an early to bed, early to rise guy by nature. I prefer staying up late and sleeping late. So trying to make the transition back to going to bed at 8:30 rather than 2:30 or 3 has been interesting. And right about now I'm feeling weights on the eyelids.

Did I mention gas? Feeling that, too. Again, TMI.

New hardware changes:
Scott Team Boa Mountain shoes - nice and stiff. Generally like the Boa lace config, though I have had the retainer come loose a couple of times on rides thus far - catching branches and what have you.

Crank Bros Egg Beater 2 - Sick and tired of destroying EB1s every six months or so, so decided to up the game a bit and see if they last any longer. If so, goody. If not I guess I'll go back to 1s. I don't notice the weight difference, If there is one. What I do notice is a nicer entry and exit - just a bit more buttery. And the color is nice.

iPod Touch - I've been resisting this change for a while for a number of reasons. First, I want all my music all the time. Second, I want all my music, all the time. And I want to be able to control the device by touch. Which you can't do with the touch. Odd, I know. So I got the device. I jailbroke it. I loaded a software that allows me to program the few hardware buttons to perform actions such as Play and Pause. I don't use the native music player, but rather the Google Music app and keep my most prized albums on the device and connect it to wifi while in the office to be able to access my full library. Not my 100% ideal, but I'm adapting. I do have to say that I like the podcast app and how that works.

That's about all for now.

Go ride.
